The Rats Back original side
skirts are nearly ready for production, nearing the final stages of
determining hardware, installation method, and road testing.
(a rear bumper piece will be
designed in the next few months to complete the Rats Back package, and will
work with dual exhaust)

The Rats Back 2001 LS is
pictured here with stock sport suspension, and gives about 5-1/4"
clearance at the flared front and rear edges (5" clearance at front lip). This will look much
more aggressive on a lowered Miata, without fear of clearance issues,
and will also not interfere with the two jack points.
These skirts were designed to be very easy to install,
especially when compared to the complicated OEM side skirts and their "brain
surgery" style instructions. NOTE:
these photos were taken with absolutely no bolts, adhesive, or other
hardware holding them on. try that with oem parts....good luck!
These side skirts will attach with a few well
positioned bolts and a lip underneath the door, for a clean and easy
installation.
These skirts were designed from scratch with a bit of
inspiration from the 3rd gen RX-7. At the same time giving a nod to
the Miata OEM side skirt look, but with a bit more of an aggressive stance.
